Purr Havoc isn’t just a jewellery brand - it’s a personal creative journey.
I’ve been making jewellery and art for over 20 years, but in 2024, I decided to bring that passion into something more focused: a small independent brand where I could share my work more publicly, and give others the chance to enjoy what I’ve been quietly creating for years.
Why "Purr Havoc"?
The name Purr Havoc comes from my three feline co-workers—Megs, Stimpy, and Rufus. They share my workspace, sometimes napping peacefully at my feet, and sometimes causing pure havoc as they race across my desk. But no matter what kind of day we spend together, my work is always improved by their company.
Their playful unpredictability is a perfect metaphor for my creative process. sometimes things flow effortlessly, and sometimes it’s a wild ride of chaos, experiments and colour!

Designs Inspired by the Cosmos, Nature & Kitsch
My jewellery is influenced by many things—my deep love of the cosmos and studies in astrophysics; the beauty of nature and childhood summers on the Devon coast; my love of fairytales, and the kitsch aesthetic; and of course, cats.
These inspirations come together in the pieces I create, whether it’s a statement headpiece, a delicate celestial-inspired earring, or a whimsical floral design.
Handcrafted, Limited, and Thoughtfully Made
I personally source and handpick all the materials I use, ensuring that every piece has the right balance of quality, aesthetic, and uniqueness.
Earrings are crafted in small, limited batches.
Headpieces are frequently one of a kind.
Each design is carefully considered, from intricate headpieces to the seemingly simple balance of an earring pair.
I believe jewellery should feel special—whether it’s a daily staple or a statement piece that turns heads.

Jewellery Care
To help your jewellery last beautifully over time, each piece comes with a soft polishing cloth—perfect for keeping your jewellery shining bright. Wherever relevant, product listings include the base metal of the earring findings, whether stainless steel, copper, or brass, all of which are selected for their hypoallergenic, nickel-free properties, and finished with silver or gold plating.
To get the most out of your plated jewellery:
- Avoid exposure to water, perfumes, and lotions.
- Store in a dry place, ideally in a box or pouch.
- Gently polish after wear to maintain shine.
With a little care, plated jewellery can last for many years to come.
Materials & Sustainability
As a small, independent maker, I care deeply about the materials I use and the environmental impact of my business. While not every material is currently perfect—affordability and accessibility do play a role—I’m committed to making thoughtful, responsible choices wherever I can.
Whenever possible, I use:
- Glass beads and natural metals over plastics
- Recyclable tissue paper, cardboard boxes, and paper-based wrapping
- Minimal plastic, with future plans to switch to eco-friendly mailers
My long-term goal is to fully transition to biodegradable and recyclable materials across all packaging, while continuing to offer beautiful, meaningful pieces made with care.
It’s a work in progress—but one I’m excited to keep improving on.
