Welcome to Purr Havoc
After over 20 years of making jewellery and art, I decided to channel that creativity into something more focused: a small independent jewellery brand centred around the pieces I most love to create. Over time, my designs have evolved into the distinctive Purr Havoc aesthetic you see today, blending playful eccentricity with ornate influences.
Why "Purr Havoc"?
The name Purr Havoc comes from my three feline co-workers: Megs, Stimpy, and Rufus. They share my workspace, sometimes napping peacefully at my feet, and sometimes causing pure havoc as they race across my desk. But no matter what kind of day we’re having, my work is always better for their company.
Having been born into a house of cats myself, I’ve seldom lived a day without one. To me, cats are what make a house feel like home. They’re chaos and comfort in equal measure, and a life lesson in acceptance. They race through the house, vomit string onto your flokati rug at 3am, bring you slugs when they were supposedly hired for pest control… and then this tiny creature of absolute nonsense curls up in your lap, and for five minutes, the world goes quiet and you realise that life wouldn’t be the same without them.
Life can be chaotic, but within that chaos we still find moments of peace, calm, and beauty.
I’m a proud crazy cat lady, and frankly, my jewellery knows it too!

Designs Inspired by Nature, Kitsch, and cats.
My jewellery is influenced by many things - my deep love of the cosmos and former studies in astrophysics; the beauty of nature and childhood summers on the Devon coast; my love of fairytales, and the kitsch aesthetic; and most of all, cats.
These inspirations find life in the various collections I create, whether it’s a whimsical floral headpiece, delicate earring design, or an heirloom necklace with a kitsch kitty twist.
Handcrafted, Limited, and Thoughtfully Made
I personally source and handpick all the materials I use, ensuring that every piece has the right balance of quality, aesthetic, and uniqueness.
Earrings are crafted in small, limited batches.
Headpieces and necklaces are frequently one of a kind.
Each design is carefully considered, from intricate beadwork of the Divine Feminine Collection, to the seemingly simple balance of a raindrop in The Purr Havoc Garden.
I believe jewellery should feel special, whether it’s a daily staple or a statement piece that turns heads.
Care, Packaging & Sustainability
Jewellery Care
To help your jewellery last beautifully over time, each piece comes with a soft polishing cloth—perfect for keeping your jewellery shining bright. Wherever relevant, product listings include the base metal of the earring findings, whether stainless steel, copper, or brass, all of which are selected for their hypoallergenic, nickel-free properties, and finished with silver or gold plating.
To get the most out of your plated or cabochon jewellery:
- Avoid exposure to water, perfumes, and lotions.
- Store in a dry place, ideally in a box or pouch.
- Gently polish after wear to maintain shine.
Materials & Sustainability
As a small, independent maker, I care deeply about the materials I use and the environmental impact of my business. While not every material is currently perfect—affordability and accessibility do play a role—I’m committed to making thoughtful, responsible choices wherever I can.
Whenever possible, I use:
- Glass beads and natural metals over plastics
- Recyclable tissue paper, cardboard boxes, and paper-based wrapping
- Minimal plastic, with future plans to switch to eco-friendly mailers
My long-term goal is to fully transition to biodegradable and recyclable materials across all packaging, while continuing to offer beautiful, meaningful pieces made with care.
It’s a work in progress, but one I’m excited to keep improving on.

Earrings from The Purr Havoc Garden come on a branded earring card as standard, with gift box options available at checkout for a small added fee. All other items ship with gift boxes as standard.

Repairs and Restoration
Many Purr Havoc pieces are designed not just to be worn, but to become part of a personal collection. While all handmade jewellery should be treated with appropriate care, the Kitten Rococo Collection and Divine Feminine Collection are created with longevity in mind, and I believe that jewellery you love should be enjoyed for years rather than treated as disposable.
My headpieces are a little different. Delicate by nature, they are designed for special occasions rather than everyday wear. Whether you're trying on a piece before an event, wearing it on your special day, or passing it on to someone else in the future, I want you to feel confident that help is available should anything go wrong.
That's why I offer a repair and restoration service for these collections. If a cherished piece is damaged, I'll always do my best to help bring it back to life wherever possible.
Because every piece is handmade in small batches, repair options may vary depending on the materials available. However, I believe that treasured jewellery and special occasion pieces deserve the chance to be worn, enjoyed, repaired, and loved again.
